Plush(1993년 발표)는 미국 락 밴드인 Stone Temple Pilots의 히트곡 중 하나인데, 가사는 리드보컬인 Scott Weiland가 90년도 초반에 납치 된 후 사체로 발견된 여자아이의 신문기사에서 막연한 영감을 받아서 작사를 하였고 위의 가사들이 나타내는 것은 일방통행적인 관계의 실패 대한 은유적 표현이라고 했다. 

 

중간에 해석을 하다가 그만 둔 이유는 실제로 내가 해석하고 있는 부분들에 대한 자신이 없어졌다. 헌신적인 남자가 내일을 기다리며 여자가 돌아오기만을 기다리는 건지, 아니면 납치범이 정말 개가 여자아이를 찾기까지 오늘은 시간을 벌었으니 내일을 기다리자 라고 생각을 하는건지 해석하면서 점점 자신감이 사라졌다.....인터넷에도 의견이 분분하기는 나지만 헌신적인 남자쪽으로 많은 표를 받고 있기는 한데 속시원하게 누가 말해준게 아니니까ㅋㅋ 정확한 가사 해석은 Stone Temple Pilots의 리드보컬에게 맡기는 걸로ㅋ
